Here are answers to some frequently asked questions about the Foogo Thermos product line.
Are Foogo products BPA-Free?
All Foogo Thermos products are BPA free and made from child-friendly material. The sippy cups, straw bottles and food jars are made from stainless steel both on the interior and exterior. They are non-reactive to all food and beverages. Juices can be used in the sippy cups and straw bottles.
The plastic used in the Foogo products is polypropylene (PP #5) which is considered a safe plastic.
Why are stainless steel bottles and sippy cups better for children than plastic sippy cups?
There is an ongoing debate on the health effects of plastics on children, particularly plastic that contains Bisphenol-A (BPA). Some researchers believe there is a danger in using plastic products, especially for children, while others dispute this claim.

Regardless of whether one side or the other is right, for the moment there is some uncertainty and why not err on the side of caution and use stainless steel bottles when possible?
How well do Foogo products insulate compared to competing products?

How long will the contents stay cold in a Foogo Sippy Cup?
Foogo sippy cups are designed to keep contents cold for up to 6 hours. They are not intended for hot liquids. For best results, pour cold water into the sippy cup to pre-chill the interior. Pour out the water and add your beverage.
How long will the contents stay cold in a Foogo Straw Bottle?
The Foogo Straw Bottle is designed to keep contents cold for up to 12 hours. It is not intended for use with hot liquids.
How long will the contents of a Foogo Food Jar stay hot or cold?
The Foogo Food Jar will keep contents cold for up to 7 hours and hot for up to 5 hours. For best results preheat or prechill the inside of the food jar using hot or cold water.
Are Foogo products dishwasher safe?
Foogo products are top rack dishwasher safe but hand washing is recommended.
What is the best way to clean Foogo Thermos products?
The best way to wash a Foogo bottles, jars and cups is with a mild dish soap and warm water. Let them air dry with the tops off.
Never use bleaches or cleaners containing chlorine on these products. Also do not use abrasive cleansers as they may dull the finish on the product.
What is the difference between the sippy cup and the straw bottle?
The Foogo sippy cup has a classic sippy cup design except that the container is insulated and made of stainless steel instead of plastic. Straw bottles are intended for older children as they outgrow sippy cups. The straw bottles are also made of stainless steel, are insulated, but hold almost twice as much liquid. A straw is integrated into the design of the bottle and is covered with a spring loaded top. Pressing a latch causes the cap to open and provides access to the drinking straw.

How big are the Foogo Sippy Cups?
Foogo Sippy Cups hold 200ml (7 oz.) of liquid. They weigh 0.32 kg (0.7 lbs) and are 135mm (5.3 inches) tall, 120mm (4.75 inches) long (including handles) and 75mm (2.9 inches) wide.
How big are the Foogo Straw Bottles?
The Foogo Straw Bottles hold 355ml (12 oz.) of liquid. The bottle weights 0.3 kgs or 0.67 lbs and is 190mmm (7.5 inches) high and 67mm (2.6 inches) in diameter.
How big are the Foogo Food Jars
The Foogo Food Jars have a 10 ounce capacity and weigh 0.23kg (0.5 lbs). The food jar is 120mm (4.75 inches) high and has a diameter of 92mm (3.8 inches).
What warranty is included with Foogo products?
Thermos offers an incredible 5 Year Limited Warranty on Foogo products. Any defects in material or workmanship are covered under the warranty. Defective products should be returned directly to the manufacturer.
